-They were so hesitant about questioning Senator McCarthy because they didn't want McCarthy to go against them and accuse them of being communists.

-Murrow and the other journalists used McCarthy's own words and pictures in the first story against him. They chose this way because they wanted to show the people that McCarthy words didn't support what he was actually doing.

-I think McCarthy's appearance on Murrow's program was positive because McCarthy was only making accusations without having any real evidence to support it.

-Murrow's schedule got changed on CBS from a nightly program to Sunday afternoons because it became less popular.
