     As a journalist it is your job to be factual and include legit resources in your article. Not including important factual information and make your article seem misconstrued and incorrect. To be a good journalist you have to have various amount of resources to back up your article, other wise facts can be tossed around and your whole article becomes wrong. Your resources have to be legit.

     "When information is on a matter of public concern, the court held, the fact that it was illegally leaked doesn't make publishing it an invasion of privacy. " First of all, posting anything private should be classified as an invasion of privacy. Something that is not meant for other people to see is most definitely an invasion of privacy and should be taken seriously. Simply because these people who were exposed are celebrities doesn't mean that this isn't an invasion or privacy. These photos were taken in privacy and not meant for the public therefore it isn't right. 

     The journalist who published this story did a great job explaining this story from two different perspectives. He talked about why people thought this wasn't an invasion of privacy because these are celebrities and nothing they do is private. And he also talked about how the celebrities felt exposed and why they felt that way. As a journalist it is critical to tell the story from more than one perspective in order to drive your story further.

CNN also cites sources like the people who were there at that time and saw what was going on. They are valid sources that help the article be more legit. This news source makes sure to explain every little detail and include very important information. The main point of the articles they write are proven by the evidence they provide.
      This news cite leaves very little detail out and provides an extensive amount of detail. They make sure that every detail is included so that you do not miss out on a thing. It is very important for the news to give valid evidence because it is easy for them to leave important things left unsaid. I believe that CNN does a very well job covering their news reports and giving valid evidence.

Garner case cop 'model officer' say defenders

Conflicting portraits have emerged of the police officer at the center of the controversy surrounding the death of Eric Garner in Staten Island during an attempted arrest in July. Defenders of Officer Daniel Pantaleo say he is an upstanding former Boy Scout with few complaints against him. Critics say he should have been indicted for his role in Garner's death and point to two lawsuits against him as signs that his record as an officer is tarnished. Police union officials describe him in glowing terms, saying he is no hothead.

After the Michael brown case, this is just making the hatred towards cops much stronger. I do believe that this case was wrongly executed and he should have been indicted. Killing an innocent man after he was already in cuffs poses to excuse. He was in handcuffs therefore nothing more should have been done. I hope this young man does get justice. 

Rape Allegations for Bill Cosby!

      Nasty allegations have been haunting one of America's most iconic comedians with a reputation for moral wholesomeness. For nine years, Bill Cosby has been accused of sexual assault by women who say they were the victims. Cosby has repeatedly said that the allegations are untrue. And he has never been prosecuted. But since 2005, a handful of women have made the claim. This year, those accusations resurfaced, and on Monday, a seemingly harmless post to Cosby's confirmed Twitter account turned them into a social media storm.

     Despite what one of the rape victim had said was happening to her, she kept coming back. And Cosby and her agent financed her apartment in addition to supporting her acting ambitions, she said. She was afraid to talk to her agent about her concerns, and she felt Cosby's influence over her was too powerful.

   The Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS), also called Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL), terrorized large swaths of Iraq and Syria during 2014 in its drive to establish an Islamic state in the Middle East ruled by strict shariah law. The militant group is made up of fundamentalist Sunni Muslims and foreign jihadists. The group, formerly known as Al Qaeda in Iraq (AQI), is headed by Iraqi-born Ibrahim Awad Ibrahim al-Badry, who goes by the nom de guerre Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi. Baghdadi is also the self-proclaimed caliph of the Islamic world. He was associated with Al Qaeda as a religious figure early in the U.S.-led war in Iraq, and became the leader of AQI in 2010. In April 2013, Baghdadi changed the name of the organization from AQI to ISIS.

      U.S. troops arrested him in Falluja in 2004 during the uprising there by Sunnis. Not considered a serious threat, he was released after a few months in detention. (Some reports say he was held for several years.) Baghdadi was a follower of Jordanian militant Abu musan, the leader of AQI who was killed by a U.S. airstrike in 2006. He is believed to have been born in Iraq in 1971 and earned a Ph.D. in Islamic studies in Baghdad. He has intentionally shrouded details of his life in secrecy, and little else is known about him. Al Queada distanced itself from ISIS as it grew increasingly violent and intolerant even of Muslims.

South Africa: suspect arrested in soccer killing AP News Oct 31, 2014

     A South African official says a suspect has appeared in court on a murder charge for the killing of Senzo Meyiwa, the national soccer team captain. Nathi Mncube, spokesman for the National Prosecuting Authority, also said Friday that the suspect faces a charge of armed robbery. Meyiwa, a goalkeeper for South Africa and club team Orlando Pirates, was fatally shot Sunday night in an apparent house robbery.

     His death in Vosloorus township near Johannesburg led to an outpouring of dismay and anger in South Africa, which has a high murder rate.

Quarantined Nurse Knocks Ebola Policy

    Kaci Hickox, a nurse placed under mandatory quarantine in New Jersey, went on CNN on Sunday and criticized the knee-jerk reaction by politicians to Ebola. Hickox, an epidemiologist who was working to help treat Ebola patients in Sierra Leone, has tested negative twice for Ebola and does not have symptoms, she said. Hickox told Crowley that mandatory quarantine is "not a sound public health decision" and that public health officials, not politicians, should be making the policies related to Ebola and public safety. "For the first 12 hours, I was in shock. Now I'm angry," she added. On Sunday afternoon, Norman Siegel, Hickox's attorney, told CNN that he will be filing papers in court for Hickox to have a hearing no later than five days from the start of her confinement.

    Although these precautions seem to be inhumane and unfair i think they're doing the right thing. Even if someone may not have ebola if they do have the signs for it they should be in quarantine for other peoples safety. It is better to take the necessary precautions rather than be at risk. 

Ebola Patient in Texas Dies

   Thomas duncan died from ebola on wednesday, October 8, at the Texas hospital. His family and friends are devasted and are now questioning the care he had received. They wonder if the outcome would have been different if he was admitted to the hospital on September 25, when he first had signs of ebola. Its said that Duncan started experiencing signs of ebola about a week after he came back from Africa. After being admitted to the hospital days after his signs, he died ten days later. 

     I think that if ebola keeps spreading like this it could become a world wide outbreak. Now that its in the United States a lot of people are becoming scared and nervous for what the future holds. Honestly i believe that if a person in the government had ebola there would already be a vaccine.

Texas Resident Has Infected Over 100 People

     Thomas Duncan, who was released from a Texas hospital after contracting the ebola virus has infected about 100 people. Duncan, along with his family, have to stay in quarantine until October 19. They are not allowed to have any visitors or leave for any cirumstances. Polic officers are posted outside of their house to ensure that they can't leave their house. Mr Duncan is believed to have contracted Ebola as he helped transport a pregnant woman stricken with the virus. Within 24 hours of Mr Duncan's diagnosis, Texas health officials identified 12-18 people who came into contact with him at his house, including his partner and her five children.

     The ebola virus has gotten out of control within the past month. If something is not done to stop it will become a national problem. With only a 10% survival rate, this virus could potentially wipe out a large amount of the worlds population. A vaccine has to be produced as soon as possible inorder to stop this pandemic. As wembe seen in the past month, this virus can spread and will continue to spread if something doesn't stop it. 

15 people, mostly teenager, shot at a Miami night club

    Sunday morning 15 people were shot at a Miami nightclub. Some of the kids were as young as 11 years old. The nightclub seemed to cater to young people since many young teenagers were there. The Miami-Dade County curfew makes it against the law for children younger than 17 to be out on their own between midnight and 6 a.m. on Fridays and Saturdays. The curfew is 11 p.m. to 6 a.m. other nights. The investigation is still pending with few suspects. 

     This incident at a Miami nighy clud could have easily been prevented. Nught clubs like this one shouldn't cater to young teenagers, it's too dangerous. Though there are few suspects at this time the investigation is still in place. Hopefully after this incident there will be stricter laws against teenage night clubs.

     Police were conducting an investigation to find evidence about the missing 19 year old, Hannah Graham. They searched an apartment and a vehicle in the college town Friday morning. Three males were present when police arrived to search the apartment, but no one was aressted or questioned. One of the three men matched the description of a "person of interest" in the investigation into, but there was no evidence there to arrest him. The person of interest is related to the vehicle that was searched and seized, but it was not clear if he is the owner. It was said that Graham left a dinner with a group of friends around 11 p.m. last Friday. Around 1:20 a.m. Saturday, she sent a text to friends saying she was lost. Police believe she may have been under the influence of alcohol, and may have been vulnerable or unable to defend herself.

     This pending case has two suspects who seem to be vital suspects. If the police and detectives continue their search, we all hope that they will be able to fin Graham and her kidnapper. Though the evidence is not proved yet one of the suspects is a "person of interest". I hope the investigation continues and they find the person who did this. 

Current Event Due 9/15 Solar Storm Heading Towards Earth

     Scientists have been following this story and have said that it is going to be a big storm. Although this storm won't have much effect on us it may effect the power lines, but nothing too serious. Astronauts are at a huge risk. Experts say that the storm will arrive to earth on saturday. These storms are related to solar flares but on a much larger scale. Though the earths atmosphere protects us from most storms, scientists recomend to keep a flashlight handy. It is not much to worry about because NASA is taking all the steps to protect us and the National Space Sation. These storms also create a beautiful aurora that can be seen in the Northern United States. 

     This article provides a lot of information about the upcoming Solar Storm. It tells us what to expect and also what precautions are being put forth to protect their astronauts and the National Space Sation. This article also gives us a scientific explanation for why these Solar occurances happen. 

Joan Rivers Dies at 81 Years Old

        Joan Rivers died yesterday afternoon at Mount Sinai Hospital in Manhattan, New York. Joan had respiratory and cardiac arrest after a simple vocal procedure had gone wrong. She was immediately rushed to the hospital in Manhattan where she was pronounced in critical condition and was put on life support. Rivers stayed on life support for a little over a week before she was placed in a private room where family, and friends hoped for the best. Unfortunately, Rivers did not make it, and will be missed by many people. An investigation is in place to find out if there was any malpractice by the doctors and their staff. Although no criminal investigations are yet underway.
        Personally, i followed the story up until the final days of Joan Rivers. I loved her comedy, and i thought she was the best female comedic out there! It seemed strange to me how something so minor caused her to have respiratory and cardiac arrest. It is hard to say if there were any malpractices going on in that facility, but something must have gone wrong to have made her stop breathing. I will continue to follow this story to find out what exactly happened to Joan Rivers during that operation.

Yearbook Review

The yearbooks that i looked at were good for the most part. Something i noticed was that a lot of the pictures were blurry, people were cut out, and and other minor things. I liked the way the 2010 yearbook was set up. The baby pictures were separate from their senior pictures, and all of the sections seemed to be organized. The yearbook from last year, 2014, seemed like it was all over the place. I didn't like how the baby pictures were with the senior pictures, it made the page look cluttered.
