All The President's Men

1) Bob Woodward had to contact "Deep Throat" to get information about the Water-Gate break in.

2) I think it was very difficult to get information about a story without the internet. Instead, the
reporters had to call their sources and interview them at their house.

3) Bob Woodward had to be careful about not being followed when meeting with "Deep Throat" because any member of the government could be following him and could rat on him.

4) When Carl Berstein gives Woodward the name Kenneth H. Dahlberg, Woodward has to use a phone book to find his phone number.

5) "Below the Fold" means, printed in the top or bottom half of the front page of a broadsheet newspaper.

6) Berstein wakes him up from his sleep, identifies himself, and then begins to ask numerous questions that Mitchell willingly answers because he is still half asleep.

7) Donald Secretti was a paid political prankster for Nixon. He put false information in people's mailboxes.

8) I think so many people confirm information because they don't want to publish false information. They need to confirm it so they know it's accurate.

9) They knew things were happening with the Watergate scandal but they didn't want to believe or jeopardize it.

10) The end result was that Nixon was forced to resign and a lot of people were put under arrest.
