"Shouting Fire" Discussion Questions

1) Some people believe that the first amendment goes to far because it protects too much. People are allowed to say what they want with no filter. If they are questioned about what they are saying they cry "freedom of speech" and they're all of a sudden protected from prosecution. 

2) My reaction to the school principle Debbie was just pure shock. The media took her words and twisted them so that she sounded like the bad guy when in reality that is not at all what she said. It's just so wrong that the media, who's suppose to provide us with factual information, can twist stories to make them in a way untrue.

This article from the Washington post is about freedom of speech and gay marriage. Similarly to this, in the documentary when the young boy who apposed gay rights was protected from prosecution by the first amendment, the freedom of speech.
